Casa Verde is beautifully located in the lovely medieval town of Alhama de Granada. On a quiet street with a great view of the square opposite Casa Verde is a traditional Spanish house with beamed ceilings and antique terracotta floors as well as many other lovely features. Alhama de Granada is situated in the Poniente Granadino a fabulous natural area with a famous gorge, Moorish spa and the lovely city of Granada only 45 minutes away.
Casa Verde has four large bedrooms, two bathroom with hand-made mosaic floors, two sitting rooms - one with a balcony and view of the square, one with a log burner. The large kitchen/dining room at the back of the house leads onto a patio and down steps to a sunken garden with fantastic well-established grapevine which gives shade in the summer.
The two upstairs bedrooms have sloped beamed ceilings and wooden floors. Downstairs the floors are all terracotta and one of the bedrooms has a log burner.
Alhama is a lovely town for wandering around - very pretty architecture dating from Moorish times and fountains on many of the streets. The two square have great bars and serve delicious complementary tapas with your drink. The surrounding countryside is very dramatic - mountains, forests, lakes, rivers - fantastic walking, hiking and cycling country.
We have renovated Casa Verde with total sympathy to it's history and to the highest standard. We finished the renovation last September and have successfully rented it out since to holiday makers so the house makes a fantastic family home but would also provide a good income for anyone who did not want to live here full-time. We have two other houses in Alhama which we successfully rent out and are only interested in selling this house as we are looking in the city of Granada so as to have a base here and in the city.
